Sarah received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 2013. While attending UMKC, she was a member of the Family Law Society, AWLS, and Midwest Innocence Project Student Organization. She also worked in the UMKC Child and Family Services Clinic, providing free legal representation to indigent families requiring help in various types of domestic litigation.
Prior to joining McGonagle Spencer Gahagan, Sarah worked in several capacities that allowed her to better understand the practice of law. Following her first year of law school, Sarah clerked at Hubbard and Kurtz, where she was able to assist in a multitude of cases from the Plaintiff side, including 1983 civil claims, wrongful death cases, and personal injury suits. During her second and third year of law school, Sarah worked at Wright and Fisher, a primarily family law firm, as they ventured into personal injury and class action practice. In 2011, Sarah also obtained a prestigious internship for the Honorable Gary Witt, Court of Appeals for the Western District of Missouri.
A diehard Jayhawk, Sarah attended undergrad at the University of Kansas where she earned a degree in Political Science and Business.
Although Sarah hails from the Dallas area, she now considers Kansas City home, and is dedicated to assisting clients in the community. She is a member of the Missouri Bar, Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, Association of Women Lawyers, and is admitted to practice law in the state of Missouri.
She practices primarily in the area of civil litigation.
